Altea is in the province of Alicante, between Benidorm and Calpe and is about 40 minutes. from the villa Finca Costa Blanca El Refugio.

This beautiful city has retained its traditional Mediterranean architecture.

Stroll along the promenade or the pretty little streets and then return to one of the many restaurants where you can enjoy the local cuisine. 

If you walk through the old town of Altea towards the church "El Consuelo", you can enjoy a wonderful view from many viewpoints.

Altea offers  also fascinating sights for nature lovers.  For example the rock Morro de Toix or the breathtaking view from the "Sierra Helada".

Altea's main port and sandy beaches are close to the city center. 

Along the 8 km long stretch of coast you will find undisturbed bays, wild cliffs and hidden beaches.

For example the "Punta de Mascarat", which offers stony bays with crystal clear turquoise water and is considered a fantastic starting point for water sports.
